Free Tutoring Program

About the Program

Treetop Tutoring's Free Tutoring Program is designed to provide equitable access to high-quality academic support for students in underserved and under-resourced communities. The program offers personalized virtual and in-person tutoring for students in grades 2–12 in subjects including math, reading, science, English Language Arts (ELA), study skills, and SAT preparation.

Our goal is to help students strengthen academic skills, build confidence, and develop the tools they need to succeed both inside and outside of the classroom. Through individualized support and a student-centered approach, we work to close learning gaps and create meaningful educational opportunities for every student we serve.

Who Can Apply

Families, schools, and community organizations are encouraged to refer students who may benefit from additional academic support. Enrollment and eligibility information is available through our inquiry process.

Eligibility Requirements

Once a referral is submitted, our team will follow up with a brief qualification process to confirm eligibility. To qualify, families must provide ONE of the following:

  1. A letter from your child's school confirming they receive free lunch based on financial need (commonly called a Direct Certification letter). Note: Many schools provide free lunch to all students through the state's universal program. However, we require a letter that specifically states your child qualifies for free lunch based on financial need.

  2. A copy of your current Massachusetts SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefit letter.

  3. A copy of your current Massachusetts TAFDC (Transitional Aid to Families with Dependent Children) benefit letter.
